Nature’s Materials

The choice of materials is the foundation of our carpets. Carefully prepared and processed
to achieve the finest quality and tactility.

  • Thick, Soft Hand-Spun Wool

Wool of KUSINER carpets comes from the Middle East sheep Awassi. A nomadic sheep. Herded by Bedouin or Palestinian farmes. The wool is thick, strong and robust. Ideal for carpets. Resistible and sustainable.

Awassi sheep is a nomadic sheep. A real toughie. The fleece is long, open and lofty. This wool is ideal for carpets - because of its coarseness and resilience. The quality of the wool - and the method of weaving - makes our carpets extra resistant and durable - but still very soft under your feet - and well suited for ‘high-traffic areas’ in your home.

Wool is naturally stain-resistant thanks to natural oils that prevent dirt from adhering to the yarn.

  • Strong, Sustainable Jute

Jute is a long, soft, shiny bast fiber that can be spun into coarse, strong threads. It grows along the Ganges Delta in India and Bangladesh. Shiny, green stalks that are soaked, stripped, and spun before weaving.

Jute is a strong, durable and versatile bast fiber that is eco-friendly and biodegradable.

The quality of jute has a perfectly imperfect texture that adds an earthy beauty to any room. It’s strong yet soft and smooth under your feet. Easy to clean and maintain.
